"Continue
in Prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; Withal praying also for us,
that God would open onto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ,
for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech
be always with grace, seasoned with salt, they may know how ye ought to answer
every man." Colossians 4:2-6
In Colossians 4:2-6, it tells us about praying continually so that we may be able to speak of the blessings which God has done for us. Blessings are predicated upon obedience and prayer is a permanent occupation, it is what God has called us to do. Prayer not only keeps us in relationship with him, but prayer puts us in fellowship with God. It is impossible to be strong in the Lord and not have a prayer life, or to be strong in the Lord and not have a conversation with God.
Maybe that why some of us struggle so much with sin because we have not talked everything over with God first. It's like when you tell your very best friends something that you don't want any one else to know or you ask them for their advice. They can tell you just what to do because they know you so well. It's the same way with God, he knows just what to tell you to do, because he know you just that well.
As we move through life we must be careful that we do not allow life to cut off our relationship with God. For things in life come around so fast we may ourselves captivates in things not of God's will and have left him on the back burner or our connection with God is lost. So prayer is something we should never negate, but continually do.
So lets CONTINUE IN PRAYER AND
WATCH IN THE SAME WITH THANKSGIVING
AND NEVER STOP!
